Psychotherapy and Counselling

You don’t have to face this alone.

Life brings challenges to all of us—but support makes all the difference.
If you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or simply stuck, therapy can help. I offer person-centred counselling online. It is grounded in empathy, trust, and real human connection. From the moment we begin working together, you’ll have a space that’s safe, steady, and completely focused on you.
There’s no pressure, no judgment—just time for you to talk, reflect, and feel truly heard. We’ll explore whatever’s going on at your pace, in your way.
Therapy isn’t just about coping. It’s about healing, growing, and changing your life for the better.

I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Janet Hill

I created My Life Therapy as a space where people could come exactly as they are—hurting, hopeful, unsure, exhausted—and feel gently held in it all. Therapy helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life, and I know how powerful it can be to feel truly seen and heard.

That’s why this work matters so much to me.

I’m a qualified person-centred therapist and a registered member of the BACP. I offer online therapy to adults, couples, and groups. My approach is warm, collaborative, and led by you. I believe you are the expert on your life—my role is to walk alongside you, listening, offering steady support, and helping you make sense of what you’re feeling.

I’ve worked with people navigating:

  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Grief, heartbreak, and loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-worth
  • Social anxiety
  • Sexual or identity concerns
  • Self-harm and suicidal feelings
  • Trauma, anger, and overwhelm

Getting better starts with me by your side

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to begin.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. You’ll find no judgment here—only kindness, honesty, and deep respect for your story.

My Life Therapy is growing too. Over the coming months, I’ll be adding online supervision, and group workshops—all centred around connection, self-awareness, and change that lasts.

If you’re wondering whether therapy might help, I invite you to get in touch.

You don’t have to do this alone.

About My Life Therapy

Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place weekly, offering a steady rhythm of support you can rely on. I also provide secure messaging between sessions, so you’re welcome to reach out with reflections or quick questions whenever you need to.

Appointments are available during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends—so therapy can fit around your life, not the other way around.

Sessions cost £55. There are no hidden costs, and no pressure—just a space that’s here for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything that’s on your mind. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief, low self-worth, social anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. You don’t need a diagnosis or a specific “reason” to come to therapy—if something doesn’t feel right, that’s enough.

We meet weekly via secure video call, so you can talk from the comfort and privacy of your own space. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a quiet room, and a device with a camera and microphone such as a laptop or a phone. Many people find that online sessions feel surprisingly natural and intimate.

Person-centred therapy is a gentle, respectful approach that sees you as the expert on your own life. There’s no advice-giving or diagnosis. Instead, I offer empathy, understanding, and a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. This type of therapy supports real, lasting change—because it starts from who you truly are.

Yes. Everything you share in our sessions is treated with the utmost confidentiality, in line with professional ethical standards and GDPR. I’ll explain any exceptions to this during our first session—for example, where there is a risk of serious harm.

That’s completely up to you. Some people come for a few sessions to work through something specific; others choose to stay longer to explore things more deeply. There’s no fixed number of sessions, and you’re free to stop at any time.

If you’re curious or ready to begin your journey, you can get in touch using the form on this website. I’ll respond personally, and we can arrange an initial consultation to see if we’re a good fit for each other.

There’s no pressure or obligation—just an open conversation.
